Flint has nearly four decades of experience in the practice and teaching of psychotherapy. He is also a Zen teacher who leads retreats throughout North America and Europe. Flint lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Flint's first retreat/training in the Twin Cities took place in 2017 and he continues to guide our community through in person and virtual retreat offerings and teaching.

On December 8, 2021 - our teacher, Flint Sparks, offered a Way-Seeking Mind talk, entitled Way-Seeking Mind on the Road to Dharma Transmission. In this talk, Flint reflects on and shares his spiritual path, the experiences that led from initial curiosity, inquiry, and pursuit of enhanced stress management to receiving Dharma transmission. This talk provides an intimate understanding of the influences that shaped our guiding teacher and his spiritual journey.
On May 6, 2026 - our teacher, Flint Sparks, offered a Dharma talk, entitled Liberating Intimacy – Softening Barriers to Love. In this talk, Flint distills the essence of this teaching that developed across decades of psychological and spiritual practice. This talk provides a clear introduction to Flint's core message, that Buddhism is a relational practice that invites us into a deeper intimacy with all of life.
